Due to Israel fighting a multi-prong war for almost a year, providing housing assistance to tens of thousands of evacuees from the north and well as attending to other domestic matters, the government’s financial resources are limited. The Isaiah Projects is stepping in to help some of kibbutzim on the border of Gaza with their rebuilding communal needs. With the residents of Kibbutz Kerem Shalom still living in temporary housing near Beersheba, we met with the leaders in August to see what we can do to bring them home.
Since Hamas demonstrated their ability to infiltrate the community on October 7th, the leaders of Kibbutz Kerem Shalom expressed the need to address 3 security matters before the residents can return to home:
- A new communal internal security system
- New residential bomb shelters doors
- A new community border fence
With the help of our organizational partners and individual donors, we were able to raise enough funds to cover the first 2 security matters. We need your help for the community border fence.
You can help bring 220 people back home and provide them with the proper security needed in a post October7th world.
